Meet Bear: Our Paw-some Health & Wellbeing Director! 🐾

In a fur of cuteness stands Bear, the playful Pomeranian with a heart as big as his fluffy coat. Despite his pint-sized stature, he takes his role as the office 'Health & Wellbeing Director' dog seriously—well, sort of. While his tactics involve stealing staff belongings and organising impromptu zoomies, his true superpower lies in spreading joy.

Bear ensures stress stays outside the office doors with his contagious enthusiasm. Need a mood lift? He's your guy. Feeling overwhelmed? Bear’s cuddles and comforting paw pats work wonders.

His favorite hobbies include catching his tail and perfecting the puppy-dog eyes that can melt the iciest hearts.

George Kolliou, formerly principal of Kolliou Tax Lawyers, has worked in the taxation field for over 40 years, firstly as an accountant and then as a lawyer. George's special area of interest is the intersection of taxation and trust law particularly in the SME context.

George's aim is to provide sound and practical tax advice to lawyers, accountants, financial planners and their clients. His practice areas include income tax, CGT, GST, stamp duty, land tax and payroll tax, in both advisory and dispute resolution matters.

Some of George's professional highlights include:

• Instructing in the first GST case to go to the High Court of Australia;
• Successfully representing taxpayers in disputes with the ATO and the State Revenue Office;
• Advising on complex CGT Concessions where the advice stood up to ATO scrutiny.

George regularly presents at tax conferences on SME taxation issues, writes for various professional journals and is a regular presenter for TEN The Education Network. He has also co-authored the Australian Trusts Tax Handbook published by Thomson Reuters.

George holds degrees in Law and Economics (Accounting major) and is a Chartered Tax Advisor, Member of the Law Institute of Victoria and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Vinay brings over 17 years of experience in the finance industry, having worked with major banks across a range of lending roles. As part of the Bove network, he complements our advisory services by assisting clients with tailored finance solutions when lending needs arise. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, Vinay assesses each client’s circumstances and sources suitable options from a broad panel of lenders across Australia.

He is well recognised for his expertise in complex residential lending, including self-employed borrowers, trust structures and investment scenarios, areas that often align closely with our clients’ financial and business structures. Working alongside our team, Vinay helps ensure finance decisions support broader tax planning and long-term financial goals.

In 2024, Erika launched Precision Financial and Tax, bringing over two decades of experience in Accounting and SMSF services to her own practice. Having worked in three medium-sized firms in regional Victoria across 20+ years, Erika has built deep expertise in accounting and financial reporting, taxation and compliance, superannuation and estate planning, as well as software training and support.

A Registered Tax Agent since 2016 and a Licensed SMSF Specialist with the SMSF Association since 2019, Erika’s credentials reflect her commitment to excellence and her desire to be formally recognised for her extensive experience. Her approach is personalised and holistic, working closely with clients to deliver expert advice, practical solutions, and strategic insights. She takes pride in helping individuals and businesses grow, enhance their financial literacy, and achieve their goals with confidence.

While Erika’s passion for accounting, tax, and superannuation runs deep, she also finds joy in camping, gardening, and bike riding, as well as playing the violin and watching motorsports. She values time spent relaxing with her children, enjoying a movie and a cup of tea. Her greatest love, however, is for her family and friends, who form the heart of her world. She’s supported by a top-tier admin team (her children, who keep her coffee cup full) and a stellar well-being department led by her dog, Bodgy.
